Need to show professionalism in security, safety of public
India being one of the top economies in the world needs to show professionalism, especially when aspects like security-cum-safety of the public is concerned. The government needs to ensure that personnel deputed to carry out security checks should be immaculately prepared with an element of detachment. There Iist need for an effective mechanism, in place, for immediate co-ordination between different departments, in case of an emergency.
68 pc polling in Chandigarh

Over 68 per cent polling was recorded from the Chandigarh seat in SGPC elections today. As many as 10,962 of the 16,000 voters cast their vote in the elections, which remained peaceful.
