Pilgrimage turns tragic
Ludhiana, June 3
A pilgrimage to Ajmer Sharif undertaken by a local family to pay obeisance for their son’s good result in the recent school examinations turned tragic after their car collided head-on with a truck on the Jaipur highway, killing their 10-year-old son.

BKU comes out in support of Baba Ramdev

The Bharti Kisan Union (BKU) has extended its open support to the proposed ‘satyagraha’ being launched in Delhi by yoga guru Baba Ramdev against black money, corruption and to press for farmer-friendly land acquisition laws. This was announced by BKU secretary general Puran Singh Shahkot after a special meeting of the state-level office bearers of the body here today.
