The robbery bid at Tanishq showroom took place at around 1.45 am on November 4 when Vinod Kapoor, owner of the showroom, was downing shutters. One of the security guards had kept a bag full of keys on a chair outside the showroom when two youths came, picked up the bag and tried to run. When one of the security guards resisted, the robbers reportedly fired two gunshots on the floor. One of the bullets ricocheted and hit Santosh, an attendant at the showroom.
