MC starts drive on amnesty scheme

In order to make the residents aware about the amnesty scheme launched by state government so that revenue of the Municipal Corporation could be increased, the civic body authorities have directed its staff to start a drive by issuing notices to residents informing about the scheme.

Dealers continue to protest against excise duty

BJP stands by industrialists

Keeping in view the assembly elections ahead, political parties have started wooing different sections of society. A glaring example was witnessed today when the BJP openly stood along with industrialists on the issue of levying of 10 per cent excise duty on cloth by the Union Government and threatened to protest outside parliament if the duty was not withdrawn.
