An airstrip at village Fattu Wala of this district that was lying unused for the past many years would be used for the landing of the chopper carrying Ansari. Whether Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal or Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Badal would attend the functions or not could not be known so far. However, Ansari would not visit the national martyrs’ memorial at Hussainiwala to pay his tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. SSP Kaustab Sharma said a team of Counter Intelligence led by DIG SS Srivastva had visited all the spots today. Deputy Commissioner KK Yadav said a coordination meeting was held to work out the strategies in connection with parking of vehicles at different venues, stationing of medical teams and fire brigade teams.
