17-yr-old schoolgirl raped by 3 youths
Chandigarh, November 17
In a shocking incident a 17-year-old girl residing in the Dhanas locality was reportedly gangraped on Saturday night by three youngsters of the same area. The victim is a class 12 student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, while all the youths are in their early twenties.

Teachers to work for one more hour

Come next session and UT teachers will have to work more by one-and-a-half hour. Teachers in private and government schools who used to leave by
2 pm will have to stay back till 3:30 pm for academic planning. With Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, coming to force from next session, all teachers will be required to devote a minimum of 45 teaching hours per week as compared to 36 so far.
