Electric trees, fountains in parks go defunct

Electric powered palm trees and fountains that were installed to “beautify” public parks in the city about five years ago are in a shambles today due to lack of maintenance. The trees function only occasionally with only a few functional ones lighting up parks at night. Some have even been stolen by thieves.
