In its latest circular issued to its affiliated schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked them to reduce homework and the number of tests being given to students in the name of formative assessment.

A local court today directed the UT health department to appoint a panel of doctors to decide whether the pregnancy of the 14-year-old rape victim, an inmate of Snehalaya, a home for destitute children, should be medically terminated or not.

Army man gets life for murder attempt on wife

A local court today sentenced an Indian army constable to life imprisonment for attempting to kill his wife besides harassing her for dowry. The convict, Baljinder Singh, is posted in the army western command at Chandimandir, near here.

PTU to start incubation centres
