Another daylight armed robbery in fortnight
Ex-serviceman shot at, Rs 78,000 looted

Striking again within a fortnight in the town, robbers shot at an ex-serviceman in broad daylight and took away Rs 78,000 here today. The victim, BN Borax, along with his colleague Vichitter Singh, was returning after collecting the electricity bill amount from Ramgarh when a few assailants waylaid them on the road separating Sectors 26 and 27.

Silver screen ‘broker’ in police net

The police today arrested a Mumbai resident on charges of cheating and duping several persons in the region by promising to get them roles in films, TV serials, advertisements etc. The police said the accused identified, as Sanjay Mishra, a resident of Mumbai, was involved in several cases of cheating across India and had duped gullible people in a similar fashion.
