Locality near Ghaggar river susceptible to landslides

Not just the area that faced the collapse, damaging three houses near the embankment of the
Ghaggar, the entire locality in the area is susceptible to landslides. Small
streams of water were seen in the entire area, indicating that the earth in the
entire slum (housing more than 400 families) could cave in any time.

Campaign for greener Ambala from August 2

Ambala district administration will launch a campaign from August 2 to make the twin city clean and green. According to sources, around one lakh herbal, fruity, traditional and ornamental saplings will be planted in various educational institutions, police stations, government offices, hospitals, playing grounds and on the canal banks.
