Youth electrocuted

A youth of Nanakpur Jagra village near Mandi Ahmedgarh was electrocuted yesterday while repairing his inverter.The deceased identified as Balbir Singh alias Bira (30), was installing inverter at his home when he accidentally came in contact with some live wire. He got a shock from the electric wire. He was taken to a hospital of Mandi Ahmedgarh in a critical state but he succumbed to the electric shock he had received.

A youth committed suicide by jumping before a train here yesterday.The deceased identified as Roop Singh of Jhorran village near Raikot had jumped before the Ludhiana-Ferozepur passenger train 4LF near the railway crossing no 40 towards Moga last evening.

Gang of mobile thieves busted, 4 held
Jagraon, May 2
The local police arrested four members of a gang of mobile thieves here yesterday. The accused — identified as Jeewan Singh, alias Jeeva; Vipan Singh of Bhona Chowk, Moga; Khanna Kumar of Doshanjh Road, Moga; and Gulshan Kumar of Gill Road, Moga — were arrested from the busy market of Kamal Chowk at Agwar Gujjaran here while they were trying to sell stolen mobiles to unsuspecting mobile shop owners.
