2 arrested:
The Crime Branch of the Chandigarh police has arrested Pawan Singh Negi, a resident of Burail village, and Abhimanyu from Malkhan Majra village for driving a motorbike with fake number. They were arrested from the road separating Sectors 44 and 45 yesterday and a Yamaha motorcycle with fake registration number (CH03D-1052) was seized from them. A case has been registered in the Sector 34 police station.

20 stung by bees, discharged: At least 20 persons were taken to the General Hospital in Sector 6 after they were stung by the swarm of bees during the ongoing Navratra fair at Mata Mansa Devi Temple here this afternoon.
No one was found in serious condition. They were discharged after administering the first aid, doctors maintained. Meanwhile, people have urged the administration to remove the beehives from the area as thousands of pilgrims throng the temple everyday.

Girl killed in
accident: Inderpreet Kaur, a student of Sohan Lal DAV College, Ambala City, succumbed to her injuries when her scooter collided with a speeding truck near the Sainik Rest House, Ambala Cantonment, here today.
She was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital where she was declared brought dead. The truck driver managed to escape from the spot, but the truck was impounded by the police.

1 killed 5 hurt in mishaps: One person was killed and five others were injured in different road mishaps across the Kashmir valley on Monday. A pedestrian, Ghulam Mohammad Guru, of Arigam Tral was injured when he was hit by a truck. He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar” where he died. A Tata Sumo hit and injured a motorcyclist, Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh of Kujar at Nunar Ganderbal. Two passenger buses collided at Waterigam, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to a woman, Afroza of Khawaja Bagh.
