Fake Yoga Certificate Case
Court accepts cancellation report
Chandigarh, February 25
In a major relief to Inspector Ram Gopal, a local court today accepted the cancellation report that was submitted by the Chandigarh Police in the fake yoga certificate case. Finding investigation to be relevant, Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sunil Kumar pronounced the judgment.

21 condemned vehicles to be auctioned

The Chandigarh police has decided to sell 21 condemned vehicles through public auction in Police Lines, Sector 26, on March 3. A press note issued by the UT administration stated that the auction would start at 10.30 am in Police Lines, Sector 26.

Four killed, three hurt in accidents
Sirhind/Rajpura, February 25
Four persons lost their lives and three got injured in separate accidents that took place in Sirhind and Rajpura today. Pawan Kumar, a resident of Tripri village in Patiala, got killed in an accident that took place on the Sirhind-Patiala road.

Rs 1.30 cr approved for Zirakpur MC building
Zirakpur/Dera Bassi, February 25
The Zirakpur municipal council has approved a sum of Rs 1.30 crore for the construction of a new building to house the council. The budget for the council building was approved as a part of the annual budget of the council, which was passed here today.

Clash between Nihangs, villagers
Anandpur Sahib, February 25
Nihang Sikhs and a group of villagers from Ladhran village in Nakodar clashed this morning. Around 8.30 am, people from Ladhran village converged at a dera in possession of Baba Buddha Dal chief Baba Balbir Singh. The villagers allegedly trespassed and broke the lock of the gate at the dera.

He urged the Chandigarh administration to provide an uninterrupted motorway from the Punjab and Haryana High Court till the district courts.

Three held for liquor trafficking

Three persons have been arrested on the charges of liquor trafficking from different parts of the city. Hardeep, a resident of Moga, who was ferrying 65 boxes of different brands of whiskey and country wine in Tata-207 (PB 05 K 9405), was arrested from near sectors 42,43, 52 and 53 roundabout on Wednesday.
