UT home secretary Ram Niwas today suspended the principal and four other teachers of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 45 after marking a vigilance inquiry against them for allegedly “extorting” money from the students to provide them school diaries and ID cards.

CSIO to start eight PG courses

2 Dogra turns 150

MC favours probe by house panel

Councillors of the Municipal Corporation reverted back to their month-old decision and asked for withdrawal of inquiry from the central vigilance on purchase of mechanical road sweeping machines and recommended that the committee of the house should conduct it.

Last date extended

The UT administration’s department of food & supplies and consumer affairs has extended the last date for submission of ‘above poverty line’ (APL) ration card applications at the Sampark Centres up to November 20. The application forms have been made available at the centres for collecting fresh data on APL families for issuance of smart cards.
