12-yr-old on mission against foeticide

At an age when children are glued to TV and computer, 12-year-old Ishita Uppal has set a higher goal for herself. The Class VII student of Little Flower Convent School, Sector 14, Panchkula, is all set for a 21-day all-India voyage to spread message against female
foeticide. In fact, the girl had chosen the birthday of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on November 19 to begin her “national mission against female foeticide”. The journey, which would take her to major parts of India, would culminate at Mumbai on December 9.
