The war of letters between the UT administration and Delhi-based National Trust does not seem to end. Five days after the UT administration had spurned the trust’s offer of financial package, convener of the Disabled Rights Group (DRG) Javed Abidi has shot a fresh missive, questioning this decision and accusing the officials here of behaving as if being above the law.

Cold store raided, samples collected

In an apparent delayed action that may yield no positive result, the UT health department today conducted a raid at the Khukhrain cold store and collected over 18 samples of khoya and other products to check adulteration. The report would be out after the festive season. A joint team of the Chandigarh police, the SDM (east) and the UT health department raided the Khukhrain cold storage opposite the Centra Mall.
