Accused seeks narco test for himself, SI

The ongoing trial in the sensational Anuradha murder case today took a new turn when the alleged murder accused, Anuradha’s husband, Baljinder Singh, alias Talla, moved an application in the court seeking a narco-analysis test for himself and for SI Amanjot Singh of the crime branch. The SI is a part of the team investigating the Anuradha murder case.

Paying price for HUDA’s folly

Chanchal Kumari’s house in Sector 23, Panchkula, which could not be completed after BBMB raised objection. The fault on the part of the planning wing of the Haryana Urban Development Authority, Panchkula, has cost a woman dear as even after spending Rs 14 lakh she has lost all hopes to enter her house. Officials of the Bhakra Beas Management Board have warned her to discontinue the ongoing construction work as high-tension wires passes through her plot.

Man gets 10-year jail for stabbing girl
Chandigarh, October 3
A local court today sentenced a convict to 10 years imprisonment under Section 307 of the IPC. Pronouncing the judgement, District and Sessions Judge KK Garg today sentenced Ajay Kamboj to 10 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of RS 5,000 on him.

The Mohali police has booked the son of a Phase X-based woman for allegedly kidnapping her with an intention to murder. In a complaint lodged with the police, Sashodra Sharma, a resident of Sector 3, said he had married Ropinder Kaur a few days ago at Mata Mansa Devi Temple and both had been living at Mohali for the last few days.
