Diploma engineers to raise demands before CM
Pathankot, September 30 Federation chairman Satnam Singh Dhanoa said here today that a delegates’ session would be held on October 24 at Chandigarh and its demand would be raised before Badal who would preside over it. He alleged that the authorities concerned had been denying them increment in their salaries after completion of 24 and 32 years of services under assured career progression (ACP) scheme. Not only this, the junior engineers were not being promoted to the rank of assistant engineer after completion of eight years of service despite the fact that it was promised to them by Badal in the year 2000. He said junior engineers were given 25 % quota in matter of promotion despite the fact that Badal promised that their quota in promotion would be 30 per cent. In the recommendations of the Fifth Pay panel, a wide gap had been made between their pay scales and those officials who were at same level and in this way the junior engineers had been discriminated against. |
