PPCC puts off mass contact programmes
Amarinder to continue with campaign tour

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC)
today postponed its mass-contact programme in the
state, claiming that party leaders were needed for
campaigning in Kashmir, but former Chief Minister
and currently party campaign committee chairman
Amarinder Singh said he would continue with
campaign tour starting on December 8.

Capt faces revolt on his home turf
Patiala, December 5
Former Punjab Chief Minister and chairman of the campaign committee of the PPCC Capt Amarinder Singh virtually faced a revolt from within the party when a number of senior party functionaries, including his former OSD Harchand Singh Barsat, urged the party high command not to give the party ticket to Amarinder or his wife Preneet Kaur for their alleged “anti-worker” attitude.
