The three-Judge committee, set up to look into the cash at judge’s doorstep case, has so far not sought Justice Nirmal Yadav’s assistance in the matter. It is believed that Justice Yadav has till date not been contacted by the committee, but she is willing to give her version on the matter.

Upholding the forfeiture of pension of two Air Force officers who had been caught ferrying contraband and dutiable items in service aircraft 20 years ago, the Delhi High Court has ruled that the captain of an aircraft cannot absolve himself of the responsibility to ensure that nothing illegal is carried, even if he shifts the blame on subordinates who assisted him in performing luggage checks.

3 acquitted in extortion case

A 32-year-old man ended his life by consuming some poisonous substances at his Sector 28 residence here today. The police has recovered a suicide note. However, the victim had not mentioned the reason behind the extreme step, said the police.
