Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Nahan 10, Jogindernagar, Jubbal, Kumarsain, Theog, Renuka and Sangrah 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 6 and Patti and Udhampur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Gonda 8, Basti 6, Ayodhya 5, Bahraich and Kakrahi 3 each, Ballia, Birdghat, Elginbridge, Mukhlishpur, Rae Bareilly and Varanasi city 2 and Bansi, Bhinga, Chandradeepghat, Chhatnag, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Lucknow AP, Suraon, Regoli, Turtipar, Uskabazar and Varanasi AP 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Auraiya 4, Etawah 2 and Aligarh, Kalpi, Moradabad and Shahjahanpur 1 each and Uttarakhand: New Tehri and Tehri FM 4 each, Banbasa and Uttarkashi 3 each, Marora and Bausan 2 each and Dehra Dun, Pantnagar and Srinagar 1 each.
