Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and
west Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.
The chief amount of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamshala and Guler 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 3, Batote 2 and Avantipur 1; Punjab: Amritsar 2 and Faridkot and Gurdaspur 1 each; East Rajasthan: Chittorgarh 6 and Ajmer 5; west Uttar Pradesh: Nazibabad 1; and Uttarakhand: Mukteshwar 1.
Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Punjab, fell appreciably in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, fell in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.
They were markedly below normal in Haryana and Punjab, appreciably below normal in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, below normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region.
The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44.1°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of June 4: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Dust Storm/thunderstorms are likely at a few places in the rest of the region. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rain/thundershowers at a few places are likely to continue over the region.
Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 4: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm towards evening/night. The maximum
temperature will be around 39 °C.
