Teachers’ body divided over office-bearers

Despite the recommendation of names for the office-bearers of the Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union by a special committee, a deadlock prevails in the teachers’ body over their acceptability. The committee had been constituted following differences among different groups of the union.

Registration of 10 scan centres suspended

The health department has suspended registration of 10 ultrasound scan centres for failure to maintain proper records as provided under the PNDT Act 1994 while 12 others were served show-cause notices for incomplete documentation during the past one month.
