Repoll in 8 gram panchayats today
Amritsar, May 27
Repoll will be held in eight gram panchayats of the district today. The directions were given by the state election commission on the recommendations of returning officers. Notably, violent incidents marred the panchayat poll in the border districts of Amritsar and Tarn Taran. Overall 70 to 75 per cent polling was witnessed in Amritsar district.

Give expenditure details, bypoll candidates told

Vimal Setia, returning officer for Amritsar (South) constituency, has asked all the candidates, who contested the polls, to submit their expenditure statements to deputy commissioner-cum-district election officer by June 23.
