In the light of incidents of violence that occurred in the past on the campus involving outsiders, the need for strict measures like this was long felt. Besides the three gates, similar cameras have also been installed at Students’ Centre, a hub of activity for the students and at other strategic points. With the cameras’ installation, data will be stored for retrieval with regard to the vehicles entering the university. The cameras will be an added advantage for the security personnel to keep a check round the clock.
