ISBT named after martyr, opened

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today inaugurated the new Inter State Bus Terminus named after martyr Sukhdev. Speaking on the occasion after unveiling the Rs 21 crore Amar Shaheed Sukhdev Inter State Bus Terminus, the CM sought whole-hearted cooperation from the people to run the SAD-BJP government because it was the people's government for people's welfare.

Guru Nanak college students celebrate Lohri
Ludhiana, January 11
Lohri was celebrated at Guru Nanak Girls College here yesterday. Principal Dr Charanjit Mahal congratulated the staff and students on the occasion. A cultural programme comprising mimicry, folk songs and dances was also organized on the occasion. Garments were also distributed among Class IV employees of the college.

Ajay Thukral of central excise department, Amritsar, got the better of Ajay Ojha of central excise department, Jaipur, to win top honours in the table tennis event in the men's singles category at the three-day North Zone Sports Meet organised by the Central Revenue Sports Board, which concluded at the Sutlej Club here today.
