Centre felicitates city valve manufacturer for quality work

The city-based Atam Valves Pvt. Ltd. has recently been awarded the national award 2006 for quality products in small scale sector by the ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises. The award was presented by union minister Mahabir Prasad during a function on August 30 at Vigyan
Bhawan, New Delhi. It carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, a trophy and a certificate.

Handicapped players get facility boost

AWWA chief visits Asha school
Jalandhar, September 4
President of Vajra Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Anita Thamburaj visited Asha School on Monday. Accompanied by members of the association, she interacted with the children of the school and enquired about their progress. Thamburaj also took a round of physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupation therapy, sports, physical training, drawing, painting and other classes held for the students, most of whom are wards of soldiers and veer naris.
