BSNL staff hold dharna

Continuing with their agitation, the staff, including officers, of the BSNL held a day-long dharna in front of the head office in Leela Bhawan here today.The agitation began on July 5 following a call given by the Joint Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations of Executives and Non-Executives, New Delhi, over the failure of the authorities to place a purchase order for 45.5 million GSM lines (2G+3G), the absence of which has so far resulted in losses worth hundreds of crore of rupees to the

Driving school for Kapurthala

Punjab transport minister Mohan Lal today announced that the state government would set up a driving school at Kapurthala in collaboration with Ashok Leyland.
The infrastructure for the training school would be provided by the company on the pattern of its two driving schools at Namakkal and Burari ( Delhi).
