to gather facts on Bhagat Singh’s comrades
On this day when we remember Bhagat Singh, we tend to forget his
colleagues and comrades who equally participated in the freedom
struggle.
There have been several researches and studies on the life of the
legendary martyr but it is hard to find any on 300 other members of the
Naujawan Bharat Sabha led by Bhagat Singh himself.

patient needs help
Deepika Sharma (28)
is suffering from acute mylogenous leukaemia.
Resident of Deep Nagar in Jalandhar Cantonment, she has undergone a
prolonged treatment at Patel Hospital after which there were superficial
signs of recovery.
Deepika along with her husband J.D. Sharma, did manage funds from their
company GNA Duraparts for the first treatment, but the couple faces yet
another challenge. |

Punyaa bags Camelin award
Little Punyaa's gifted imagination and ability to make artistic strokes
have helped her in winning a prize in the Camelin Colour Contest.
Declared second among hundreds of participants of her age from various
schools of Punjab, it was a moment of pride for her to receive a cash
prize and a certificate from Nek Chand at Punjab Kala Bhavan in
Chandigarh this Tuesday. A class III student at Apeejay School, Model
Town, Punyaa had participated in the contest in October 2006 while she
was studying in class II.

Bansalwala Bazar in Phagwara has become a hub of dozen beggars, most of
them women.
In fact, most public places in the city like shopping plazas, railway
station, bus stand and crossing areas have lots of beggars. A handful of
them are may be physically challenged, but most of them are in good
health.
