Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 20: Isolated rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Under the influence of approaching western disturbance over northwest India, rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 20: Mainly clear sky, likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night with possibility of thundery development in some areas. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 10 °C.
