Christmas Carnival held

First Step Play School ushered the spirit of Christmas with a fun-filled carnival here yesterday.

The kids celebrated Xmas with fervour and enthusiasm. The event had a fancy dress parade and several fun-filled art activities related to Christmas.

No Christmas celebration is complete without Santa Claus distributing gifts and candies to the children and spreading the message of love, peace and joy. The kids drove with Santa in a horse-driven buggy, and enjoyed the feel of Christmas .

Many stalls were put up for entertainment of students like a stall where different kinds of tattos were put up.

Computer teachers to protest

The presidents and vice-presidents of the Computer Teachers Union of all districts of Punjab held a meeting here on Sunday. Mr Rupinder Singh, president , Ludhiana, said the government had failed to honour its commitment of giving them Rs 7,000 as salary from November 1.

The angry and frustrated teachers have decided to hold a protest rally on December 19 in front of the Director-General, Schools Education Office, Chandigarh.
