Departure: They were below normal in HImachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.4C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).
