Vaish school wins first prize: Local Vaish Model Sr. Sec. School team won the first prize in a state level science drama competition held at SCERT, Gurgaon, on Wednesday. Akash Agarwal, who played the role of 'Manav', was adjudged the 'best artiste'. The Principal, Mr O.P. Joshi, lauded contribution of Anil Arora, Ashutosh Sharma, Ramakanta Arya, Akash Mohan, Niranjan Sharma and Ms Omvati Arya, Tarun Kumar.

NCC cadets donate blood: A blood donation camp was organised at local Janta College on Thursday where as many as 60 NCC cadets donated blood. The Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner, Mr Mohinder Kumar, and Col. Vijay Shankar inaugurated the camp.

Labourer murdered: A daily wage migrant labourer Samaru Pal was allegedly done to death by a fellow labourer here. As per police sources, Subhash, who was drunk, had gone to Samaru Pal in Gandhi Nagar here and entered into an altercation with a relative of Samaru. When Samaru objected to it, Subhash allegedly took hold of the former and strangulated him to death. Subhash escaped from the spot.
