Fake ODI tickets fail to get them in
Chandigarh, October 29
The SAS Nagar police today “detained” about 300 persons on charges of selling and buying counterfeit tickets and black marketing tickets outside the PCA stadium here today. Some persons were also detained for gaining illegal entry into the stadium.

Report on youth’s torture sought

Taking cognizance of the complaint of torture of Naresh Kumar, a 16-year-old youth from Morinda, the Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC) has sought a report from the ADGP (Crime) and Principal Secretary (Home) by December 1.

2 juveniles held for theft
Chandigarh, October 29
The police today arrested two juveniles allegedly involved in several incidents of snatching. The police claimed to have solved three cases with their arrest and recovered two motorcycles and five mobile phones from them. The police said the accused were drug addicts.

12-yr-old boy found dead
Panchkula, October 29
Three murders in four days—-that’s the official tally in the district where a 12-year-old was found dead in the Industrial Area near the railway track here today. Hidden in the bushes, Suraj’s body was found half nude and frothing from the mouth.

Bolero, motorcycle stolen
Chandigarh, October 29
A car and a motorcycle and two sets of AC compressors were stolen from various parts of the city. Mr Jagpal Singh of Phase III-A, Mohali, reported to the police that his Bolero was stolen from Sector 43 on Friday night.
