Rainfall: Rain or snow occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. The weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and change little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Punjab, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 35.5°C, recorded at Barmer in Rajasthan.

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little.

Departure: This was above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.6°C, recorded at Chandigarh.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 29: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. The weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
