Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 35°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.8°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 27: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
