Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, rose in Haryana. The highest temperature in the region was 35.3C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan). The lowest temperature in the plains was 14.5C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 24: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 24: Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery development/light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 30°C and 19°C, respectively.
