Inaugurated: Mr H.R. Gandhar, Director, DAV Public Schools, on Wednesday inaugurated a multi lab complex, built at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, at LRS DAV Senior Secondary Public School here. The complex, equipped with latest labs for physics, chemistry, biology and home science, is the first of its kind in the district. Students will have direct access to the classrooms from the labs located at the first floor in the southern block.

Seminar: A one-day general convention of the Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Sekhon) will be held under the presidentship of Mr Jaswant Singh Kanwal, a renowed Punjabi novelist and president of the sabha, on November 12 at the Malwa Khalsa High School complex at Dhuri. About 500 writers and readers are expected to participate in the convention.
