Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry in the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.4°C recorded at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 16.4°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 18: Weather will be mainly dry in the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 18: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 21°C, respectively.
