Temperatures: The highest temperature in the region was 40.8C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan). The lowest temperature in the plains was 19.6C recorded at Chandigarh and Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 7: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36C and 22C, respectively.
