Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Panchkula 1, Himachal Pradesh: Dharamshala 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 2, East Rajasthan: Bagidora 5, Jaipur (AP), Sanganer and Bhungra 3 each, Sallopat and Khandar 2 each and Danpur, Niwai, Chamu and Kherwara 1 each. West Rajasthan: Bhinmal 4, Pachpondra 3, Raniwada 2 and Balotra and Sayla 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich 3 and Palliakalan and Katerniaghat 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Dabri 3 and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 4, Uttarkashi and Pantnagar 1 each.

Forecast (valid until the morning of September 24): Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, and at a few places in the rest of the region except west Rajasthan where its will be at isolated places.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at one or two places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours.
