Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 4, Banihal 3, Srinagar 2 and Batote and Pahalgam 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 6: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather is likely to be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 6: Partly cloudy sky.
