Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Jind 1; Himachal Pradesh: Nadaun, Shimla, Sundernagar, Sujanpurtira and Solangnala 3 each, Paonta 2 and Bhang, Dharampur, Dhundhi, Ghamroor, Kahu, Kasauli and Pandoh 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 4, Batote and Pahalgam 3 each and Banihal and Quazigund 1 each; East Rajasthan: Bakani 16, Jhalrapatan 14, Asnawar 13, Pachpahad 12, Dhambola and Jhalawar 8 each, Chikli, Loharia, Pirawa and Revdor 7 each, Danpur, Galiakot, Kesarpura and Pipalkhunt 5 each, Arthuna, Banswara, Dug, Pratapgarh and Sagwara 4 each, Gangdhar, Jagpura, Khanpur, Kanba, Kherwara, Pindwara, Sajangarh, Sirohi and Sabla 3 each, Arnod, Bagidora, Indergarh and Mount Abu 2 each and Kota, Nithuwa and Ramganjmandi 1 each; West Rajasthan: Bhinmal and Sanchore 9 each, Karanpur 8, Raniwara 7, Jaswantpura 6, Sam 5, Ahore, Balotra and Jalore 3 each, Jaisalmer, Phalodi and Ramgarh 2 each and Khajuwala, Pugal and Shergarh 1 each; West Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 2; and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 3, Uttarkashi 2 and Banbasa, Marora, Rudraprayag, Rishikesh and Srinagar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 10: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east and southwest Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.
