Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in West Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Nagrota Surian and Paonta Sahib 4 each, Dhundhi, Guler, Sujanpurtira, Sunibhaji and Sundernagar 3 each, Ghamroor and Nadaun 2 each and Bhang, Dharampur, Kalpa, Kahu, Kasol, Shimla and Solangana 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 11, Srinagar 5, Pahalgam 2 and Quazigund 1; East Rajasthan: Kareda and Mount Abu 3 each, Amet, Aspur, Arnod, Ganespur and Gyangarh 2 each and Arthuna, Asind, Bhim, Chittorgarh, Devgarh, Deval, Dungarpur, Dariabad, Hurda, Jagpura, Kherwara, Nithuwa, Railmogra and Salumber 1 each; West Rajasthan: Jaitran, Raipur, Sanchore and Sumerpur 1 each; East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi City 3, Mirzapur and Neemsar 2 each and Birdghat, Bani, Elingbridge, Ghazipur, Hanumansetu, Katerniaghat, Phaphamau, Shardanagar and Turtipar 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 10, Bausan 3, Tehri 2 and Banbasa, Haripur, Kalgarh, Rishikesh and Uttarkashi 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 5: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 5: Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers. One or two may be heavy in some areas.
