The monsoon has been vigorous in Haryana and Punjab and active in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chandigarh 14, Ambala 11, Tajewala 10, Naraingarh and Panipat 9 each, Ellenabad 8, Dadupur and Rania 5 each, Fatehgarh and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 4 each, Kalka and Karnal 3 each, Ayanagar 2 and Delhi Ridge 1, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 9, Pandoh 5, Shimla and Solangnala 3 each, Nadaun 2 and Dhundhi and Kandaghat 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 1, Punjab: Gurdaspur 13, Ropar 12, Nawanshahar 8, Amritsar 5, Nangal 4, Patiala 3 and Fazilka and Talwandibhai 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 28: Rain/thundershowers will occur at most places in Haryana and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in the rest of the region.
