Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Delhi Ridge, New Delhi (Safdarjung) and Nagina 2 each and Hodal and Hatin 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 5, Dhundhi and Nadaun 2 each and Rampurbushahar 1, Punjab: Ferozepore 1, East Rajasthan: Govindgarh 9, Laxmangarh 7, Gangdhar 4, Bari, Bhopalsagar, Dug, Kareda and Vallabhnagar 3 each, Bhainsroadgarh, Pirawa, Kishangarh, Sapau and Udaipur A.P. 2 each and Asnawar, Bhadesar, Badisadri, Girva, Mavli, Pachpahar and Ramganjmandi 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Hamirpur and Raebareilly 4 each, Kanpur and Phaphamau 3 each, Chillaghat, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Lucknow and Sultanpur 2 each and Allahabad, Chhatnag, Dalmau, Hanumansetu and Palliakalan 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Auriya 8, Hindon 6, Ankinghat 5, Shahjina, Gomatia, Kalpi and Shahjahanpur 2 each and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 8, Dehradun and Joshimath 3 each and Tehri 2.
