Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms, are: Haryana: Nilokheri 1, East Rajasthan: Arnod 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Pallikalan 13, Bahraich 8, Shardanagar 7, Chillaghat and Kanpur 6 each, Banda 5, Bansi, Kakardharighat and Varanasi City 4 each, Balrampur, Katerniaghat, Hanumansetu and Neemsar 3 each, Bhinga, Sultanpur and Varanasi AP 2 each and Ayodhya, Bhatpurwaghat, Elginbridge, Ghazipur, Hamirpur, Mirzapur, Regoli and Raebareilly 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Dabri 19, Ankinghat 7, Gomatia 6 and Auriya, Fatehgarh and Shahjina 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 9.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 17: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.
