Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Rampur Bushahr 1, East Rajasthan: Sallumber 13, Sarada 12, Ganeshpur 7, Jhadol 6, Arnod, Danpur, Garhi, Kushalgarh and Sajangarh 5 each, Banswara, Kotda, Shergarh and Sallopat 4 each, Arthuna, Bagidora, Girva, Galiakot, Kesharpura, Loharia, Mountabu, Udaipur city and Vallabhnagar 3 each, Jagpura, Khelwara and Udaipur A.P. 2 each and Baran, Ghatol, Gogunda and Mandana 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Ayodhya 1 and Uttaranchal: Uttarkasi 4 and Dehra Dun 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 8, 2006: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in south Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 8, 2006: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
