Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Delhi Ridge 2 and Ayanagar and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1 each and east Rajasthan: Jaipur 2 and Kota 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Punjab, fell in Haryana and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, largely below normal in Punjab, markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.8°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 22: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust-storm/thunderstorm is likely in west Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 22: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/thundry development accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 38°C.
