Hobby classes conclude
Mandi Gobindgarh, June 18 These hobby classes were organised under the directions of Mr O.P. Goyal, president, MGESW Trust and Mr Bahadur Singh, Principal, Gobindgarh Public School. Children of the primary section learnt the art of painting, paper folding, cutting, passing, clay modelling, making of greeting cards while senior students learnt glass painting, making of soft toys etc. Children learnt classical dances on filmatics, bhangra and giddha. A theatre workshop was organised by Mr Pran Sabharwal and Mrs Sunita Sabharwal. |

City boy becomes ‘King of Comedy’ on MH1
Ludhiana, June 18 Talking to Ludhiana Tribune, Jaswant said the grand finale was held last evening. He said the auditions were held in Delhi in January. More than 750 persons had turned up for auditions out of which 48 got selected. “The programme was just like Laughter Challenge. Mimicry artists from all over Punjab had turned up in the show. It was not an easy competition. For five months, I had to practice for two-three hours daily”, claimed Mr Jaswant. A graduate from SCD Government College here, Jaswant took training in mimicry and histrionics from Chacha Raunki Ram. “I always grabbed prizes in Panjab University and GND varsity youth festivals. I have also performed at many places in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and J&K. This title has got me an entry into the media”, said Jaswant. |
