Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in west Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ambala 3, Hisar, Nilokheri and Thanesar 2 each and Karnal 1, Himachal Pradesh: Una 3, Solan 2 and Dharampur and Nahan 1 each; Punjab: Talwandi Bhai 3 and Nangal 1; East Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur and Varanasi AP 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Tehri 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.6°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
